National NeighborWoods® Month is the annual celebration of trees and green communities. Every October, tens of thousands of volunteers take action to improve their neighborhoods by planting and caring for trees.

USDA Says “Get Involved” in National NeighborWoods® Month

In a 2013 video in support of National NeighborWoods Month, Butch Blazer, USDA Deputy Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment, encourages everyone to “get involved both personally and professionally” in this nationwide celebration of community trees.
